We’ve made it easy for you to offer fingerprint jewellery that feels meaningful, simple, and beautifully done.
Below you’ll find clear steps on how to take a high-quality ink print, and how to share those with us or with the family, so we can create a piece they’ll treasure always.

What you’ll need.
1. Any black ink pad - or one supplied by us
2. A Coveted fingerprint postcard - to capture prints and record the deceased’s details + your affiliate code
3. A blank sheet of paper to practise on
Once you've signed up we will send you everything you need as well as marketing materials and samples when possible
How to take a great ink print.
Practice first
Use a plain A4 sheet to test the technique.
Ink the finger
Ensure the area is clean and dry, gently press the full length of the fingertip (down to the first joint) into the ink pad. This will ensure you capture all the unique characteristics of the finger
Press and Re-press multiple times
Press the finger onto the practice paper or postcard multiple times in a row. Look for clear, defined lines as each print gets lighter with each press
Check you can see the lines
We can only engrave what is there and although we can enhance lines to improve the print where necessary, we cannot engrave a print that is void of detail
If there are no lines appearing on the print, Call Gemma to make arrangements to make another type of impression
Scan the completed card
Scan or take a well-lit photo of the completed postcard (including the fingerprint, deceased's name, and your affiliate code) and send it to the family as a back up for their peace of mind.
Give the physical card to the family
When completed this card includes everything they need (including your affiliate code) to place an order when they’re ready.

Why scanning matters.
- You create a permanent digital copy in case the card is lost
- You hand over full control to the family
- Additional pieces can be ordered easily at any time
- Families can share the image with siblings or extended whānau
It’s a small step that makes a big difference.
